Clare's think tank has yielded abundant results, but Dusty's perspective has not been taken into account, yet. So we managed to scoop an all exclusive interview from right under the nose of the Tuesday Independent.
She was hanging out at her usual meet&greet, the landing down at Doolin Pier. The breeze was drawing a mere ripple across the crystal clear water and the sunlight cast a playful golden shroud on her underwater body.
'Hiya Dusty, how's it going?'
'Nice and easy, Jan, and yourself?'
'Having a ball with the creature you brought me. Have you any idea how much you contributed to science?'
'No, it's all good fun to me!'
'How do you mean?'
'Well, you know I like a little attention.'
'I know you like a lottle attention.'
She blushed a few shades of grey, then, in a conspiring whisper: 'Did they go for it?'
'What you mean?'
'Ah, you know, Ted…'
'Oh yes, it turns out to be a major breakthrough in science!'
'Really?'
'Revelation after revelation!'
She let her breath explode from her blowhole.
'Jan, I hate to burst your bubble, but I have a revelation of my own.'
I see her smile deepen into mischief: 'As a non-human person now, I too have license to April's Fools day.'
