Dolphin Address 33
August 2th 2005
Lots of people find someone else's photo album obtrusive and uninteresting. Their own album, however, contains quite a few pictures they would not want to miss for the world. Well, those kinds of photos are now in my 'foto's'. I meant to tell you for some time, but then there have to be some. At the moment they amount to 449 and I would like to see you through them. They are divided into 18 subjects and continually under construction.
You find the 'foto's' button left of the middle in the upper region of the homepage. Alongside the thumbnails there is a slide. Click on one for an enlargement.
Dusty
She comes in many colors. Like in her sun dappled dress, the light, fractured by the waves and projected on her body. She has been photographed with and by me under and above water.
Burren
The extraterrestrial landscape, fault blocks and crevices and many panoramas's and flowers.
Zee (Sea)
Take a fresh breath along lots of water and wonder about how the sea eats into the rocks. Details like a mysterious mill hole and the suspension of a kelp root. Very recent is a walk over the high tide island at low tide. Often I swam over there.
Zonsondergangen (Sunsets)
A natural fire that sometimes comes daily on the menu. They are best before personal attendance. Also other heavenly appearances like sunrises, rainbows and thunderclouds.
Diversen (Funny things)
Each photo has it's own story, from houses that seem out of plumb to Ute, who, as a human ambassador, spends more time in the water than Dusty.
Killohill
My ever only fixed abode in Ireland, just outside Ballyvaughan. Good for three months enjoyment of exhillarating nature. All photo's by Verena Schwalm.
Poulsallagh
These are fair weather photo's of sparkling details, about 4 km south of the Meadow. Also see 'Blowholes'.
Spanish Point
This is situated a few km south of the Boathouse Bay. Part of the Spanish Armada at the time shipwrecked upon these reefs.
Dingle
In the nine years that I swam here with Fungi the town changed from a '50's atmosphere with the scent of burning peat and a horse stalled in the corridor to a streamlined tourist trap. Therefore pictures of Slea Head, a bit to the west, where everything is high and far away.
Pollenawatch
Dusty's residence from 2001 until last year December. Here you see the Poolrock, the Bathtub, the Sperm whale rock, the Emmenthalers, the Millhole, the Gutter and many other leading and supporting rocks.
Caher River
Take a few cascades, fool around with the color enhancer and you get these abstract paintings.
Autobahn (Motorway)
When you want to show something beautiful best put something ugly in between. I saw thousands of kilometers of this.
Zu Hause (Home)
Lost.
Berlijn (Berlin)
Closed
Rocknest
My stone age. Originated as a wind shelter and turned into a roofless home.
Dusty water
The intimate relation of Dusty and her element. See

Blowholes
Fascinating phenomena that show the unbridled power of the waves.
Vloeibare juwelen (Liquid jewels)
When the sun shines on the retreating water that has been thrown upon the terraces by the waves, you can see these sparkles.
It is so stunningly beautiful here and always different. I keep looking, writing and taking pictures so you don't have to come here yourself. It's getting more crowded by the day and on the recent Bank Holliday I drove in tailback from Fanore to Doolin. I would not want to pile you up.
